The Rocket Golf SocietyŠ was founded
in September 2003 by a bored civil servant (hence the name Rocket golf society) who didn't have much work to do. It was founded
initially with about 5 members, which has since doubled due to popularity.
The society is in effect a mechanism
for a group of golf loving pals meeting once a month to play golf and get pissed at the 19th with Gordon serving
all types of lovely beers and sprits.
The society has grown from strength to
strength since its foundation and is the highlight of a few of the member’s social diary.
All our Society outings have all been
held at Bright Golf Club in Co.Down N. Ireland. But with the future looking good for The Rocket Golf SocietyŠ with the launch
of its own web site and growing members, the society has put plans forward to spread its wings to further fields in Ireland
and beyond.
